The Late Martin Angume (Deceased) was a recording popular performing
artist who died in 2013 at Mulago National Hospital after being admitted there
because of the kidney, liver and lung diseases.
Angume rose
to fame in the 1990s when he collaborated with female star Betty Mpologoma and released their debut album which was massive
and introduced him to the nation.
He sang
songs such as Gear, Guli Mu Gear, Sebene among others.
He first
joined former Lubaga South’s MP Hon. Kato Lubwama’s Diamond Essembles and later
he quit it and formed his own band Comprehensive
Band with its headquarters at Comprehensive Hotel located at Nateete.
