With the exception of Rema Namakula, dancehall superstar
Cindy Sanyu has declared that she is willing to compete against all Ugandan
female musicians.
Cindy's disclosure has drawn a lot of criticism from many
of her fellow musicians and music lovers because she has established herself as
the best female musician Uganda has ever produced.
A number of female musicians have publicly voiced their
displeasure with Cindy's attempts to diminish them, most recently Winnie Nwagi,
who advised her to swallow her pride.

In her statement, Cindy made it clear that she is
prepared to engage in musical competition with every other female musician
present in order to resolve the question of who is the best female musician.
She left Rema Namakula out, arguing that the singer of
"Ngonze" is a true musician and a compelling example of her work
live.
Cindy remarked that Rema consistently handled her brand
successfully across all platforms, from the stage to her family, in contrast to
other female artists.
