Due to alleged unpaid rent, Lilian Mbabazi is being hauled before the police. The former Blu*3 has been charged by her landlord for missing 17 months' worth of rent payments.
The musician started renting out his bungalow in February 2018 for Sh1.5 million per month, according to the owner, Sitran Deshpande.
But he claims that Mbabazi hasn't been paying her rent since 2021.
I'm upset because she hasn't been making her rent payments.Until April of 2021, we hadn't received any rent. The landlord told this to Urban TV in an interview. "Since then, she's been promising but she never shows up.
Despite receiving multiple demand letters, the singer has allegedly refused to pay rent or leave the property, and the landlord's attorney, Sufian Kasirye, says that they have now decided to call the police to investigate the situation.
Kasirye said, "We tried to be lenient but failed.
Mbabazi can be heard pleading for more time to remove her possessions from the residence in a phone discussion with the attorney that was captured on tape.
Lilian Mbabazi says she's been out of town, but she'll be back by Thursday this week, and she'll move her things then.
Mbabazi agrees that the mounting rent has overwhelmed him, but he vows to make payments via Mr. Egesa.
She will now be required to report to the police in Konge tomorrow, Thursday, September 28, in order to expedite the eviction procedure.
