Fik Fameica is accused
of not paying singer-songwriter Fixon Magna for writing his successful song
"Bwe Paba."
Fixon claims that because he
and Fameica got along well in the studio, he wrote the song without having a
formal contract in place stating how much he would be paid.
To his surprise, he was not
given any credit at all in the song when it was released—something he had not
anticipated from Fik Fameica.
Despite not getting credit or
anything from Fik Fameica for his work, Fixon disclosed in the Galaxy TV
interview that he is still not deterred.
As opposed to that, he is
motivated to work even harder after seeing one of his songs become the number
one hit.
With its infectious beat and
lyrics, "Bwe Paba," which was launched on September 22, 2023, became
an instant hit in Uganda.
Fameica and Sheebah
collaborated on the song, which is co-produced by well-known producers Artin
Pro D'maria.
It's unclear how much money
the song has made since it was published, but it has received a lot of radio
around the nation since its debut.
In the music industry,
composer credit and pay are hotly debated topics since many producers and
performers are accused of taking advantage of other people's creative labor.
