In relation to an outstanding
debt of Ugx 18 million, businessman Emmanuel Lwasa, headquartered in Masaka, is
currently being sought by Ugandan authorities.
The advertising that Lwasa ran
on one of the nation's media outlets are thought to be the reason for his debt.
Legal action has been taken
against Lwasa because he has not paid the debt, despite the station's repeated
attempts to collect it.
The lawyer claimed that they
painstakingly finished the required legal processes in order to directly assist
the city magnate via news broadcasts, his offices, and his social media
accounts.
But in spite of all of this,
the business magnate has steadfastly refused to pay up.
As a result, the police issued
a warrant for Lwasa's arrest and are now looking for him. They have issued an
appeal for anyone who knows where he is to come forward and help with the
inquiry.
The authorities are reportedly
taking all necessary steps to ensure that Lwasa is caught and brought to court
because he is deemed a flight risk.
