Maani sat down with Dre Cali immediately after releasing his new song
Onanagiza. The budding vocalist who is surprisingly shy shared with his
journey, aspirations and how working under a label has been so far.

Records. The song is a love song Dre Cali aka Katende Andrew Stephen is
currently signed with Mpaka Records. Dre Cali is fresh on the music scene and
has a brand new tune with Lydia Jasmine. Joseph Maani sat down with Dre Cali
immediately after releasing his new song Onanagiza. The budding vocalist who is
surprisingly shy shared with his journey, aspirations and how working under a
label has been so far. 2010, he released his self-titled debut solo album “Myko
Ouma”his class. Jose has gone all the way to improve by playing with different
musicians and Bands like, Zawuka and Janzi Band.
He learnt his Saxophone for
a Dutch great music teacher Petra Wotters and since then, Jose has become one
of Uganda’s Saxophone players and looking forward to all challenges in Life. He
joined Janzi Band in 2011 and he has contributed a lot to the Band’s sounds. In
2017, he was nominated in the category of Best Instrumentalist in The Ugandan
Music Award. (TUMA Awards). He released his debut album “Koona” on 19th
December, 2017.
Joseph
Sax plays the saxophone. He started playing music way Back in 2001 in primary
six in a brass band where he played the snaire drums and later learnt how to
play trumpet and enohoniums. In 2004 at the age of 14, he got introduced to the
wind instruments in the brass band. He was an intelligent young man and the
first one to learn how to play saxophone in his class. Jose has gone all the
way to improve by playing with different musicians and Bands like, Zawuka and
Janzi Band. He learnt his Saxophone for a Dutch great music teacher Petra
Wotters and since then, Jose has become one of Uganda’s Saxophone players and
looking forward to all challenges in Life. He joined Janzi Band in 2011 and he
