Promoter of events Norbert Events, real name Norbert
Twizire, has admitted that the only way to control Alien Skin is to have TikTok
banned in Uganda.
Since the launch of TikTok, a video-sharing network with
roots in China, a number of talents have been discovered.
Thanks to TikTok, the names of several
musicians—including Tom Dee, Vyroota, Kid Dee, and Alien Skin—are now included
among the most promising artists in the music business.
The introduction of TikTok in Uganda, according to Norbert
Events, has hurt TV viewership.
However, Norbert believes that most of Alien Skin's
followers are TikTok users, which has given him a false sense of confidence and
led him to start criticizing other musicians and promoters.
The aforementioned factors are the main justifications
given by Nobert Events for why TikTok should cease operating in Uganda.
It should be remembered that India was the first country
to ban TikTok–and other Chinese apps–on all of its devices.
The use of TikTok on government-owned equipment is
prohibited in Scotland, Australia, Belgium, Britain, Canada, France, the
European Union, and many other countries.
