Kenneth
Mugabi, a musician, has progressed from a young boy with a guitar to a big guy
with a guitar. Yesterday, he shocked Ugandans by filling the Serena Hotel's
Victoria Hall with a show titled People of the Land ORGANISED BY Karizm. Mugabi's largest event,
and it received a lot of love from his followers from the start.
They
were clearly his day one followers since they sung along to every song he sang
on stage from 8:40pm to 1am. Mugabi completed three seasons, each with a
different outfit.
The
performance was in keeping with Mugabi's genre, as all of the artists who
played for him were of the same caliber. Zuli Tums, Naava Grey, and Lillian
Mbabazi were among the performers. Happy Kyazze, a saxophone, was usually on
stage backing up Mugabi, and Myko Ouma, a guitarist, collaborated with Sewa
Sewa of Janzi band as they did something unique using only sound effects from
their instruments.
Mugabi
wrote and performed all of his songs, from the People of the Land album to
singles and collaborations. During one of his sessions, he commended Fenon
Events for the hard work they put in to make his show appear magnificent, and
it was clear that the stage, lighting, and sound were all first-rate. The
images on the screens were excellent, and the sound was perfectly suited to
Mugabi's song.
Mugabi
still had songs to perform after midnight, but the moment was heightened when
he saved the best for last, performing his four most popular songs while the
audience chanted Naki, the tune that catapulted him to fame. Mugabi performed
Kibunomu, Take Me Back, Sanyu, and Nkwegomba before finishing the show with
Naki.
