Residents in Nalubugo brightened the day of sick singer
Evelyn Lagu by announcing intentions to name one of their roads after her.
Evelyn Lagu reported in June of this year that she had
relocated to Nalubugo after well-wishers built her a new home there.
Evelyn Lagu noted over the weekend, while visiting the
Zubair Family team at her house that land has increased in value since she
moved to Nalubugo.
She attributed the progress to her celebrity and the
region's infrastructure development since her migration.
Evelyn Lagu claimed that in the two months she has been
in Nalubugo, eight plots of land have been sold to people who want to be a part
of her community.
In exchange, the townspeople plan to honor her great
contribution to the music industry and their community by renaming one of the
streets "Lagu Road."

Evelyn Lagu, a singer, has expressed gratitude to those
who constructed her a fully furnished house.
Evelyn Lagu, an ailing singer, celebrated her forty-first
birthday on June 1, 2023, at her new home in Nalubugo.
Evelyn revealed to the media that after catching the
kidney failure health problem, she had to sell her home and car in order to pay
the high medical bills.
However, after seeing her cry for aid on one of the local
stations, one of the people she had initially rescued came to her rescue.
Evelyn mentioned that when her Dutch friend Catherine Tash relocated her mother from Uganda, she gave the singer the land where her mother lived as well as all the necessary papers.
