Orikiriza Rusia Bariho -37 is a mother of 4, a recognized and rewarded young woman entrepreneur, founder and managing director of ORIBAGS INNOVATIONS (U) LTD, a business enterprise engaged in waste recycling and manufacture of environmentally-friendly gifts packaging and stationary products in Uganda.

Early in 2022, Rusia was
diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer that had spread to various parts of her
body including the spinal bones, liver, lymph nodes, pelvic bones etc.
She became paralyzed, disabled
and was unable to walk, sit or stand. She was curtailed in a wheel chair which
later failed to support her since she could no longer sit on her own. After medical several tests and numerous
treatments in Uganda, she was sent back home and given one month to live. 
Her lower body switched off
for 17days and she was bedridden at home for many months.
Rusia encountered many emotional challenges too eg stress&depression, anxiety disorders and most of the times she always wanted to be alone in dark spaces.

Rusia’s family took a leap of
faith and lifted her to India for
further management. She underwent a spinal surgery and reconstruction,
radiation, targeted therapy and numerous integrated cancer therapies that saw her
come back to life again. Rusia spent over 2months in India while on treatment.
Rusia attributes her healing
and recovery to the resilient care and emotional support by her husband, who never gave up on her
despite several negative forces from numerous people, trust in God, intentional
nutrition, and power of music, alternative and other additional therapies.
