Peter Rhymer says that the "Ugandan Girl" concept for the song came about when he was soul searching and getting more in touch with my Ugandan roots, and he says that it made him feel that the right woman to settle down with would be a Ugandan, for the pure fact of culture and really understanding him as a person
Pete Rhymer continues to say that he started to think of how his ideal woman would be and how she would act and so he created "Ugandan Girl ", the lyrics come from the heart, soul and mind
