Da Harry

Mukisa Henry commonly known as Da Harry is Ugandan singer and song writer born on 20^th July, 2000 though unfortunately his mother died after giving birth to him and he was raised by his “Aunt” a sister to his mother until he was 5 years old and his father took him in though Harry didn’t know his father  before cause ever since he was born he(Harry’s father) hadn’t gone to see him.

He has so far written two love songs and recorded them for himself ie “Your Love and Kako” and he is also good at writing slow and RNB jams.

Harry was taken to Nateete-Kampala by his father as his new home but only misfortune awaited him cause he was always mistreated and abused eg “denied food, slept him on the floor, accused him of killing his mother cause she died giving birth to him by his Step-Mother and when life became so hard for him he ran away from home and went to stay on the streets.

Harry’s father was working in Sudan by the time he ran to the streets but after two months he decided to go back to his fathers home but unfortunately he was not allowed to live in the house by his Step-Mother cause his father died in a car accident as he was coming back to Uganda and he had no option but to leave the house although it was for his deceased father.

Harry spent 7 years struggling with life on the streets until God answered his prayers and a gospel preacher took him in as his son and took him off the streets.

“God wasn't quiet he heard my prayers I remember one day a man was preaching and of course I was touched he asked who would like to take Jesus as his personal savior I rushed to him immediately and my friends I used to live with after seeing that they all ran away from me because they never liked “Born Agains” and of course I couldn't blame them because sometimes I could also ask myself that “ if really God exists why was I suffering”  but anyway nothing helped me and the following day this preacher came back I started giving attention to his words because they were really touching during that this man saw me how I was looking like very dirty and smelly,dark skinned boy though very handsome but anyway this never helped me because  i was everytime in sadness  asking God the importance of me being alive but then one time this man approached me and I told him everything about me and after hearing everything he told me that from that day onwards I was to live with him hey guess what? I thought this guy was kidding cause I couldn't believe that someone can come and take me in as his son because  ever since I was born  no one loved me no one even wanted to know how I was cause I was taken to be a very useless thing that had no future a head” says Harry.

Mr. Nsubuga( mulokole) is the name of the preacher who changed Harry’s future opened up his success got a chance to go to school and he had his primary level at Molly and Paul Primary School and he joined Makerere Secondary School in Nansana his secondary level.
