the offspring of Birimumaiso Garras and Angelina Nyanjara. Growing up in
Kyenjojo District, he later relocated to Kampala, Uganda. Geeg Man Ug has made
significant contributions to the field of songwriting and has crafted
chart-topping hits for various artists in Kyenjojo Uganda.
Geeg Man Ug commenced his educational journey
at Kyanyambali Primary School. With unwavering dedication and a strong
commitment to his academic pursuits, Geeg Man Ug successfully completed his
high school education at Wekomiire Secondary School, situated in Kyegegwa, a
district adjacent to Kyenjojo.
Geeg Man Ug presents his lyrics in both
Luganda and English, delivering his music in the popular afrobeat style.
Afrobeat, also referred to as Kidandali in Luganda, is a genre that originated
in the central region of Uganda. Since the late 2000s, Kidandali has acted as a
driving force for a new generation of Ugandan musicians, enabling them to
create urban popular music in their native language.
Geeg Man Ug began his musical journey during
his elementary and secondary school years, where he took on the role of leading
the school choir. He officially commenced his professional music career as
teenager in 2016 with the release of his debut track titled "Ekimala
Kimala."
"Ekimala Kimala" is a Luganda
phrase that can be translated to "enough is enough" in English. This
captivating political anthem has been skillfully produced by BX On Da Beat.
